Kennedy Jenks is seeking an ambitious and service-oriented Project Engineer with civil and/or environmental water/wastewater experience to work in a hybrid environment in our Portland or Eugene area offices. A successful candidate will play a vital role in evaluation and supporting design and construction of conveyance facilities relating to water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure projects and treatment process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analysis; Prepare detailed design, specifications and drawings. Design calculations with support of senior team. Assist the Project Manager where needed.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Write technical reports and maintain accurate project records, reports and documentation.
  • Project management; Support projects from conception through construction coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Lead small projects and attend both internal and external meetings when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar engineering field
  • 4 years of related water/wastewater engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain PE
  • Experience relevant software including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D and Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations
  • Strong technical writing skills

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $80,000 to $110,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
