Kendall Auto Group is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Fairbanks, AK

Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in Fairbanks. We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the team. Some of the benefits of working with Kendall are:

Because this position has limited supervision, we are looking for candidates who are driven and do well working independently. Candidate must also have a driver license and clean driving record.

In this position you will perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks throughout the dealership and surrounding property. Duties will include:

  • Troubleshooting and addressing minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural and plumbing resulting in equipment repair and/or replacement.
  • Preventive maintenance will include caulking doors/windows and replacing damaged windows.
  • Electrical maintenance to include changing light bulbs, repairing ballast and repairing light fixtures.
  • Plumbing maintenance to include unclogging toilets/urinals and sinks, fixing water leaks and repairing water fountains.
  • Structural maintenance to include painting interior/exterior walls and assembling or moving furniture.
  • This job role also assists Kendall HR with safety compliance-monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, first aid kits and overall compliance in shop area.

Working conditions for this position are varied, work will be performed indoors and outdoors equally depending on tasks. Occasional lifting up to 50lbs, frequent body motion including bending, stooping, crouching, stretching, and reaching required. Occasionally will work with others to lift or move other heavy objects.
