Kenco Logistics Services is Hiring a Mgr - Network Inventory Near Phoenix, AZ

About the Position

The Network Inventory Manager has responsibility for implementing, sustaining, and continually improving the Network’s Inventory Management Program through the direct supervision of Inventory Supervisors. This individual is the leading advocate of inventory control best practices and is the primary point of contact for inventory support functions.

Functions

  • Develops, drives, and continually improves the Network Inventory Management Program.
  • Leads team of Inventory Supervisors to ensure all Inventory Control associates develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to drive network inventory excellence as well as their own personal/professional development.
  • Supports all levels of the network operations team through training, process development, audits, and data analysis.
  • Oversees and/or participates in all aspects of daily inventory management activities for the assigned network
  • Owns the Quality Hold process to ensure that product identified as nonconforming is held at the appropriate RDC until officially released or corrected
  • Creates and maintains appropriate daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports, including cycle counts, scrap/damages, and shrink.
  • Supports the standardization and continual improvement of site and network zoning/layout.
  • Regularly communicates analysis of network inventory control to the leadership teams along with corresponding suggestions for operational process improvements.
  • Manages the network’s Physical Inventory process, including preparation, execution, and out-reporting.
  • Works with all network sites to maintain inventory accuracy, as well as develop, implement, and improve all inventory control procedures.
  • Applies a sound working knowledge of all appropriate IT systems, to aid in the auditing and researching of inventory discrepancies.
  • Travels periodically throughout the network to perform site inventory audits and training visits as required.
  • Supports the pillars of Operational Excellence through leadership and participation in KQMS, KFMS, Lean, Communication, Bench Strength, and Safety/Security initiatives.
  • Manages the storage, disposition, and documentation of returns, damages, and scrap.
  • Acts as a leading advocate for all safety rules and regulations.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience Inventory planning
  • Previous supervision, team lead, or management experience of hourly warehouse/operations employees required.
  • High volume receiving and distribution production for a large broad line warehouse network
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple site inventory control programs.
  • Strong knowledge and aptitude of computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy and authority, when necessary.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule or diagram form.
  • Ability to generate reports and communicate verbally and/or in written form.
  • Ability to manage dynamic workload and perform consistently without direct supervision.

Travel Requirements

  • This position is expected to travel approximately 25% - 50%.
