Memorial Designer
Our family owned and operated company has been proudly serving families, communities and civic organizations since 1867! We are seeking an extremely dependable creative individual to join our design team at our production facility located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. GENERAL DUTIES:
- Prepare drawings of monuments/memorials using existing designs, custom requests from counselors and/or creation from scratch with high degree of accuracy.
- Must be able to work quickly to meet deadlines.
- Proper communication with internal/external customers in regards to specific designs. Attention to detail including: proofing text, confirmation of sizes, colors and texture to meet expected customer requests.
- The ability to hand draw or sketch is a plus
- Monitor/review/reply to e-mail, faxes and messages left by internal/external customers
- Independently make "successful" decisions quickly
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment is crucial
- Dependability is a must
- Other duties as necessary to complete job
- Some overtime and weekends may be required
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent a plus.
EXPERIENCE
- Willing to train candidate with acceptable skills and/or education
- A minimum of two years experience in CAD or Graphic Design or memorial experience a plus.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Computer knowledge including but not limited to: Graphic design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or CAD related software)
