Kearney & Company is currently seeking a Resource Management Specialist to join our team! The Resource Management Specialist supports the tactical functions associated with the collection of and maintenance of both resource and project data used to support resource management. This individual works with project managers, operations leadership and appropriate business development and support staff to execute resource management processes. Overview and Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and facilitate the completion of staffing requests from project managers
- Prepare resource data and reports for weekly update distribution
- Assist with managing the Resource Management workload queue
- Communicate with project managers regarding updates to information if not received by published deadlines
- Combine data from weekly update process for recirculation before publishing
- Update data in supporting applications with requests and resource data changes (applications will vary)
- Facilitate the fulfillment of staffing requests and prioritizing resource requests, working with Operations leadership and other team members to ensure the right staff assignments are made
- Collaborate with employees and understand their career plans and requests to understand their best fit on a project
- Assist in the analysis and execution of resource utilization and capacity using resource planners
- Analyze data from standard reporting process to develop specialized reports on resource needs, conflicts and over allocations
- Review and recommend modifications to internal processes as needed for project control, operations review and Professional Services support
- Facilitate communications with supporting organizations such as Business Development, Accounting, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate activities with leadership and project managers to include full analysis of need, internal skill and capacity analysis, and execution of demand fulfillment activities
- Conduct research to identify alternate staffing solutions and/or, alternate processes for improvement
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Resource Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, and/or Workforce Planning
- Experience with workforce planning, resource demand, resource capacity analysis, data management and governance activities, and process optimization
- Exceptional communication, influencing and analytical skills
- Strong oral presentation, listening and influencing skills
- Proven collaboration skills
- Familiarity with resource automation systems and software
- Highly skilled in use of spreadsheet tools e.g., Excel
- Familiarity with forecasting processes and tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (required U.S. citizenship)
