Inova Health System is Hiring a Case Management Specialist Near Alexandria, VA

As a Case Management Specialist, you will administer and monitor financial and revenue management programs for the Case Management department. To help achieve our mission, you will coordinate and perform a wide variety of administrative activities to support the Case Management department. Participating in the annual and ongoing budget processes is required. Your ability to interpret and communicate payor requirements to Case managers, Social Workers, patients and physicians is required. Receiving and documenting benefit and contract level requirements in order to ensure the appropriate utilization of benefits and services is of vital importance. Your ability to support the case management outcome model through clinical, clerical and support services in order to assist with the planning, assessment and implementation of appropriate patient transitions is expected.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains state required UAI filings as well as all accounts receivable/payable functions for the department to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintains and monitors the system Case Management program including reimbursement of all negotiated vendor contracts.
  • Provides support to the strategic planning and business development initiatives of the department. Reviews and approves time/attendance for department staff on a biweekly basis. Performs periodic reviews to track employee time and attendance for department leadership. Submits any identified time/pay adjustments to Payroll in a timely manner.
  • Assists in monitoring the operational budget, in collaboration with department Director, related to funds disbursement and reconciliation.
  • Tracks and monitors accounting for budgets, capital requests, travel funds and business expenses.
  • Maintains Trauma Social Work on-call schedule.

Requirements
Education:

  • AA Degree in Business Admin/ Accounting or Related Field, OR, Equivalent Professional Experience (up to 5 years).

Experience:

  • Five years of experience
