Salary Range: $66,726.40 - $67,329.60 depending on experience

Bonus Target: 6% potential incentive of base pay

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Grade: 9BC

What you will do 

  • Manages HR administration of personnel transactions such as new hires, pay adjustments, transfers, terminations, FTE change, et. Al, and processing in the HRIS system (UKG). 
  • HRIS lead in running, creating and scheduling reports for HR team and partner departments as needed. 
  • Conducts maintenance of templates in UKG as it relates to new hire documents, employee handbook, and personnel forms in document manager to ensure accessibility to most up-to-date versions. 
  • Manages people assist requests in UKG by providing solutions or directing inquiries to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
  • Administers new hire orientation, ensures accuracy and maintenance of the orientation deck, and manages relationships with presenters.
  • Ensures the necessary pre-hire documentation, including background checks and employee eligibility verifications, have been completed. 
  • Ensures the necessary offboarding tasks, including exit interviews, separation in UKG and partnering with IT and Facilities for equipment collection, and systems revocation are completed. 
  • Prepare and analyze reports on key HR metrics including turnover, TTF, performance metrics, EEO, compliance, and others as assigned. 
  • Ensure compliance reporting requirements are met with the support of the HR Director. 
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. 
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. 
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. 
  • Serve as point of contact for policies, procedures, practices and HR questions. 
  • Conducts, in partnership with Training & Development mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and/or HR related topics as required. 
  • Coordinates between all departments to ensure proper information flow and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data across multiple platforms. 
  • Partners with and communicates various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. 
  • Maintains knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends. 
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. 
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. 
  • Use and adapt technology to improve the efficiency and accuracy of business processes. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or other related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Three plus years of related HR experience.
  • Certification as a Professional in HR (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) or ability to achieve certification within one year of employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing customer needs and building trust.
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Understand, model, and represent KCU’s core values.
