System Administrator
KBR is looking to add a System Administrator to our team to provide support to our DOD customers in Patuxent River, MD.
This is a full-time on-site position. This position offers a CWS/Flex Schedule. Core working hours: M-F, 8-3pm
In this role, you will...
- Perform a variety of information technology/infrastructure activities, as well as IT inventory management.
- Utilize Windows Server, VMWare, Group Policy Objects and STIGS experience within a Class network.
- Perform the installation, integration, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration management of software on Windows based servers
- Manage the functionality and efficiency of multiple Windows-based servers
- Administer policies and standards related to security and technical implementation guidance
- Coordinate with customers to perform software security testing and scans
- Maintain system documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
- Ability to work independently as a part of a team in RDT&E environments
Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret Clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Certification: CompTIA Security CE
Required education & years of experience ( substitution options below)
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience, which includes
- Experience managing Windows Servers
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience with Group Policy Objects
- Experience applying STIGs on Windows Servers
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 9 years of relevant work experience, which includes
- Experience managing Windows Servers
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience with Group Policy Objects
- Experience applying STIGs on Windows Servers
