• Greet and care for all patients and visitors to the practice in a polite and courteous manner at all times. Deal with inquiries both in person and on the telephone in a polite and professional manner.

• Schedule appointments and monitor the appointments to maximize available appointment times.

• Obtains patient’s history and maintains up-to-date patient dental records.

• Oversees, stocks, and prepares the exam room and equipment according to sterile and clean technique guidelines before every treatment of a patient. Must be able to follow infection control guidelines set by OSHA at all times.

• Assists the dentist during procedures, including passing necessary tools and equipment.

• Exposes radiographs as directed by the dentist. Radiation safety and protection permit preferred.

• Monitors inventory of supplies.

• Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Complete any other duties assigned by dentist or immediate/controlling supervisor.
