Job Description:
Kaslander Lumber is seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the lumber construction industry and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and other stakeholders in the construction sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify and prospect new clients within the construction industry, including contractors, builders, architects, and developers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our lumber and construction materials.
  • Collaborate with the internal sales team to provide excellent customer service and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for management review.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to promote Kaslander Lumber and expand our market presence.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, market trends, and product improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales within the lumber construction industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
