We are a modern private dental practice, located in the Houston Medical Center, that is committed to providing the best possible care to our patients. Our friendly and supportive team is looking for a positive and motivated dental assistant to join us in our mission to create happy and healthy smiles through comprehensive dentistry. We don't want to just "drill and fill".
At our practice, you'll play an essential role in helping us provide the highest quality dental care to our patients, have the opportunity to work with the latest dental technology and techniques, while also enjoying a fulfilling and rewarding career. We pride ourselve in maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters growth, innovation, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist with various procedures including but not limited to: Fillings, crowns, surgical procedures, dental sleep medicine (willing to train)
- Reviewing Health histories and taking vitals.
- Maintaining OSHA/HIPAA standards
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment and instruments
- Communicating effectively with patients and colleagues
- Using Dentrix is a plus but not required.
- 1 year dental experience required
Qualifications:
- Dental assistant certification from an accredited program
- Motivated and Strong work ethic, with a willingness to learn and keep growing.
- Positive attitude and Team Player – teamwork makes the dream work!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay organized, mange time well and multitask
