Works for a Federally Qualified Health Center

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provision of dental hygiene
• Perform all duties as per state license
• Performance of preapical, bite wing, occlusal, and panoramic radiographs if needed
• Chair side dental assisting, if needed
• Front desk duties if needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing charts and copying
• Maintain patient recall system
• Keep abreast of current information on the management of the medically-compromised patient
• Maintain and provide proof of current State of Texas license
• Comply with all policies and procedures
• Required to maintain confidentiality for patients and patients records
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Vice President of Clinical Affairs

 Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification and Skills/Abilities Related Requirements:

• Licensed by the State of Texas
• Must be able to hear (needs to be able to communicate with other staff while we are wearing masks and while hands are occupied)
• Must be able to wear latex or vinyl gloves

Continuing Education and Training Requirements:

• Participates in trainings required by the agency, funding source(s), and/or as required by licensure if applicable.
