Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Position Overview: As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Kanak Naturals, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence and sustainability. Working within our dynamic team, you will ensure the quality of components and materials provided by our suppliers, aligning with our circular economy principles. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving positive change in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Evaluation and Selection:

• Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and capability criteria.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the selection and qualification of new suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality expectations.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Develop and implement quality control plans for critical components and materials sourced from suppliers.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supplier quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of incoming materials to verify conformance to specifications.

3. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, reliability, and consistency of supplied materials.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of supplier quality activities, including audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate supplier quality performance to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supplier quality management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in global supplier quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Experience in conducting supplier audits, inspections, and qualification assessments.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
