Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepares construction cost estimates by doing takeoffs and analyzing all costs associated with the work.
  • Obtains quotes from vendors and subcontractors and ensures that scopes and qualifications meet project needs.
  • Attends meetings and speaks with customers, professionals, suppliers and team members.
  • Field measure and take core samples on existing buildings.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Research upcoming projects
  • Track bid volumes for reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 1- 3 years of construction estimating experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
