Small busy Kailua restaurant seeks skilled Sous Chef to assist the chef with the operation of our kitchen. Create specials, maintain kitchen standards of cleanliness and food safety. This is a working chef position. You will be required to work on the line.Daily duties will include inventory and ordering, Scheduling, personnel management, portion control, food expediting, general cleaning, equipment and facility maintenance, organization of prep lists, daily prep for lunch and dinner service.
Requirements/Responsibilities
5 yrs minimum chef/kitchen manager/supervisory experienceor - 10 years experience having worked all stations in a kitchenExperience with seasonal menu changesMust have Short order cookery AND fine dinning experienceSauté, broiler, pantry, sanitation and knife skills are musts!Scheduling and Staff managementProduct ordering and inventoryProblem solving skillsExcellent customer service skills,Positive attitude and hard working,Available to work nights, weekends, and all holidays.Punctuality,Ability to work well in a team environment &Perform in high tempo & fast paced kitchen
