The Role

You will be responsible for building and supporting the HR function as we launch into the next phase of our hyper-growth. This role will partner directly with the co-founders and leadership team to support company growth, and ensure K2 Space provides the best employee experience for our stellar team. Championing a people-first mindset, you will implement robust HR infrastructure and strategies to support our high-velocity company.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the delivery of People Ops infrastructure, processes, and programs to support both the needs of our growing team and the company’s strategic goals and operations

• Develop a robust total rewards program, managing open enrollment process, payroll, and benefits evaluation

• Oversee compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and regulations

• Support the leadership team to make recommendations on policies, procedures and best practices for all employee matters

Qualifications

• 6 years experience in HR or People Operations, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment

• Strong experience in total rewards, compliance, DEI, HR systems and analytics, and employee relations

• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in particular ITAR regulations and compliance

• Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and growing an HR team

Nice to Have

• Space industry or aerospace experience

• Strong experience in organizations with high-level regulations and compliance 

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000 equity in the company

• Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level

ITAR Requirements
