The Role
You will be responsible for building and supporting the HR function as we launch into the next phase of our hyper-growth. This role will partner directly with the co-founders and leadership team to support company growth, and ensure K2 Space provides the best employee experience for our stellar team. Championing a people-first mindset, you will implement robust HR infrastructure and strategies to support our high-velocity company.
Responsibilities
Build and own the delivery of People Ops infrastructure, processes, and programs to support both the needs of our growing team and the company’s strategic goals and operations
Develop a robust total rewards program, managing open enrollment process, payroll, and benefits evaluation
Oversee compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and regulations
Support the leadership team to make recommendations on policies, procedures and best practices for all employee matters
Qualifications
6 years experience in HR or People Operations, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong experience in total rewards, compliance, DEI, HR systems and analytics, and employee relations
Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in particular ITAR regulations and compliance
Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and growing an HR team
Nice to Have
Space industry or aerospace experience
Strong experience in organizations with high-level regulations and compliance
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000 equity in the company
Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level

ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
