Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform all Shipping/Receiving duties within the Department.
• Supervise a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, orders, and shipments.
• Implement and improve processes to optimize productivity and reduce errors.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Train and develop team members on proper shipping procedures and safety protocols.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demands.
• Follow and abide by all safety rules adopted by K&S Wire.
• Follow all safe driving requirements necessary when operating fork trucks.
• Complete required daily paperwork accurately and neatly.
• Operate fork trucks in a confined space, and in a safe manner.
• Monitor the operation of the lifts and report discrepancies to the supervisor or maintenance.
• Perform daily inspection on any lift that is operated.
• Prepare product to be shipped to customers and vendors, and communicate with carriers in the process.
• Maintain all shipping rates with carriers.
• Maintain good housekeeping in department area.
• Perform routine requested clerical functions as requested by Supervisors or Plant Manager.
• Maintain shipping files.
