SUMMARY:

Machines used in the production of products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions

 Produces candles and related products using several processes including, but not limited to, pouring, extruding, pressing and dipping.

 Measures, records and adjusts machines to maintain product consistency according to

documented process and quality specifications. Records this data into the Root production

tracking system.

 Minimizes downtime and scrap, and makes recommendations on improving performance.

 Performs pre-shift inspections and trouble-shoots machines and raw materials issues.

 Performs machine/product changeovers including changing of dies, molds, wax blends, wick, blocks, fill heights and cutting blades.

 Works and communicates with other functional and support departments as needed.

 Able to work extended shifts and hours, including holidays and weekends, in order to meet business needs.

 Keeps work area safe, clean and orderly.

 Able to perform other tasks as assigned or needed.

POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION: Machine Operator

Education, Training, and/or Experience

• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

 2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing/industrial operation

Personal Skills and Abilities

• Openness to new ideas and a desire to learn.

 Solid Interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• Good manual dexterity and coordination.
