Job Details
Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $42.00 USD Hourly
Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a 508 Compliance Tester to support a DHS project. This position is remote, but requires candidates live within the DC metro region.
Functional Responsibilities:
Overall 508 Testing:
- Responsible for planning, strategizing, and delivering 508 testing.
- Design, develop, evaluate, and update test scenarios, plans, and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand product specifics and create corresponding test strategies.
- Conduct manual 508 compliance testing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing 508 expertise for complex software/hardware applications.
- Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and defect-free performance.
- Ability to manipulate test data in SQL server databases.
- Execute SQL unit testing.
- Experience with submitting API requests through Postman.
- Familiarity with testing in AWS/cloud environments.
508 Certification:
- Must be a certified 508 tester, DHS Trusted Tester preferred
- BS/BA degree.
- 3-5 years of hands-on manual testing experience.
- Familiarity with Jira is a plus.
- Sound understanding of quality assurance methods and procedures.
- Familiarity with full life cycle development processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective project planning abilities.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Interpret technical procedures.
- Verify data transfer between components.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Superior technical writing, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
