Position Hours: Full-time; Monday – Friday; 40 Hours per Week, extended workdays, occassional extended workdays, weekends, and scheduled travel.
Reports to: Campus Principal
Length of Term/Employment: 205 work days / At-will
Position Mission: Serve as assistant to the Campus Principal, District Testing Coordinator, Federal Programs Director, PEIMS Coordinator and Special Programs Director.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Master’s Degree in Education preferred.
Certifications:
Current certification in instructional Leadership Development (ILD) and approved State evaluation system.
Skills:
Knowledge of school law, finance, and curriculum.
Able to interpret policy, procedures, and data.
Exceptional organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
Minimum of three years documented successful classroom experience.
Primary Role:
Assist charter principal in administration of special programs.
Manage all campus level testing activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, assessments, monitoring, and assessing all special student populations.
Encourage planning of innovative education programs, assist teachers in implementing such efforts when appropriate.
Manage student assessment data and communicate data to teachers through professional development sessions.
Assist teachers in the design, implementation, and management of curriculum based assessments.
Campus Testing Coordinator:
Oversee and coordinate all state mandated assessments (TPRI, STAAR, EOC, TELPAS, etc).
Oversee and coordinate all special program identification assessments (GT; Dyslexia; Special Ed.; 504; Bilingual/ESL; Title III, Part A; Title I, Part A & C; McKinney Vento; Early Childhood Education; etc).
Special Programs:
Coordinate with Campus Principal and District Testing Coordinator, Special Programs Director, Federal Programs Director, and PEIMS Coordinator to review special program identification and verification.
Student Management:
Communicate and coordinate with PEIMS Department student identification and submission data.
Help students develop a positive behavior through a student discipline management system.
Other:
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Campus Principal.
