Tachibana Enterprises, LLCJob DescriptionPosition:DriverDate:September, 2022Company:Tachibana Enterprises, LLCReports To:Assistant ManagerDivision:OperationsDirect Reports:n/aDepartment:Golf and TourFLSA Status:Non-ExemptSalary Grade:Piece RatePrimary Responsibilities: Provide transportation for Tachibana Enterprises customers, to/from golf courses and tours.Percent Time SpentEssential Function80%Provide proper narration during golf transfers and tours. Interact with customers conveying updated information and regularly communicate with tour conductors, if any, following tour itinerary to maximize customer satisfaction.20%Conduct vehicle inspections and operational checks before/after all trips. Maintain cleanliness in vehicle exterior and interior. Fuel vehicles and report any mechanical issues to manager in writing on the Driver’s Inspection Report for proper vehicle maintenance.Secondary Functions:Abide by company performance and conduct standards.Able to accurately calculate change for any cash payments.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school graduate or, three (3) years related experience and/or training;Possess CDL C license with passenger endorsement is desirable;Possess a DOT Physical Medical Certificate of Physical Qualification; Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal/external customers and able to speak/read/write in English;Able to read, analyze, and interpret dispatch documents, safety procedures, and governmental regulations; as well as, write required operational and safety reports. Possess knowledge of the Hawaiian Islands, including but not limited to, geography, culture, and history. Working Conditions:Working HoursNormal business hours: 5:00am-11:00pm, Sunday – Saturday and, as deemed necessary, depending on flight and tour schedule. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, 7 days a week, including holidays. Hours of work are dictated by the number of charter trips booked, the schedule, and prearranged itinerary of tours and shuttles, and company business needs. Weekly work hours must be consistent with the Department of Transportation’s rules and regulations, concerning hours of service. Working EnvironmentDriving vehicles in all types of weather, the driver is regularly exposed to standard traffic conditions and is regularly exposed to noise, dust, gases/fumes, vehicle exhaust and airborne particles and vibration. Noise level within the vehicle is usually moderate. Equipment UsedAll motor vehicles in the company’s fleet. Use and operation of radio equipment, rear view camera, and audio equipment, including microphone and video systems.Physical/Mental DemandsWhile performing the duties of the job, requires sitting for long periods of time and operating motor vehicles, sometimes in tight, confined spaces or in busy and congested traffic conditions on city streets and highways, during all hours of the day. Able to resolve concerns and issues in a calm, professional manner; handle stressful situations, and deal constructively with conflict.Requires constant mental and visual attention, requiring alertness, concentration, adjust to changing conditions, and able to analyze situations.Possess an even temperament and emotional stability to deal with heavy, fast moving, or stop-and-go traffic. Constant – vision, hearing, eye-hand-foot coordination;Frequent – lifting/carrying less than 25 to 50 pounds, standing, walking;Occasional – pulling less than 25 pounds to more than 50 pounds, lifting/carrying more than 50 pounds, sitting, running, overhead reach;Seldom – pushing, stair climbing, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, forward reaching, twisting, side bending, grasping, handling, finger dexterity.Communication DemandsConstant – requires talking to co-workers and customers, visiting/working at different work sites;Frequent – requires talking on the telephone, receiving verbal and written instructions;Occasional – requires written communication to co-workers and customers, responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers, training/giving verbal instructions, writing/composing written language, reading;Not applicable – talking and written communication to outside trade persons/vendors, supervising others, responding to written or verbal requests of vendors.
