JPMC Candidate Experience page is Hiring a Strategic Threats Program Manager Vice President Near New York, NY

Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. GS is responsible for developing security standards and procedures; ATM, branch and corporate building security; guard force management; alarm response; crisis management; pre-employment screening; fraud and employee investigations; and corporate aviation. Within GS, the Threat Detection & Analysis (TD&A) function is responsible for identifying potential threats against the firm and its workforce, from both internal and external actors, and developing strategies to mitigate those threats to protect the firm’s reputation, workforce, clients, and assets.

The Strategic Threats Program Manager VP is aligned to the Strategic Threats team within TD&A that is responsible for identifying and assessing strategic threats, to include those from nation state actors, with the potential to compromise the firm’s data, workforce or supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. This position will report to the Strategic Threats program head. The primary role of this position will be the development and delivery of firm-wide solutions that enable the detection, analysis and mitigation of strategic threats to the firm. Key functions will include partnering with key stakeholders across the firm on collaborative initiatives such as the identification of nation state targeting of employees or supply chain, joint analytic assessments and support to GS investigations as well as support to the development of training and awareness material related to strategic threats facing the firm. This is an opportunity to help strategize, socialize, and implement a new, cutting-edge program and will require significant critical thinking, creativity, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively across a large international organization that comprises an important part of the U.S. critical financial infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training and awareness materials related to strategic threats to the firm.
  • Develop SOPs, job aids and other material capturing Strategic Threats processes and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison and provide support to stakeholder partners across the firm on multiple initiatives.
  • Leverage partnerships to identify solutions to help mitigate potential threats to the firm.
  • Utilize multiple databases to conduct research on various threats facing the firm, particularly from nation state actors.
  • Produce analysis on specific risks, threats and contribute to joint strategic analysis products.
  • Support sensitive nation state related investigations, as well as data integrity, case metrics, and trends analysis.
  • Provide SME-level consultative outreach on strategic threats matters leveraging deep knowledge current programs as well as intelligence operations and nation state actors tactics, techniques and procedures
  • Communicate complex strategic threat issues in a way that is understandable to a variety audiences
  • Provide strategic direction in managing a program with multiple workstreams.
  • Enhance and manage detailed project plans, including definition of roles, responsibilities, and milestones.
  • Present structured senior management updates, including but not limited to summarizing activities related to program timeline and deliverables.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 8 years relevant work experience in counterintelligence investigations or analysis, intelligence operations or intelligence analysis, assessing complex threats from nation state actors and insider threats
  • Experience leveraging critical thinking skills to strategize and demonstrate ‘out of the box’ thinking and creativity in order to solve hard problems and deliver results
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise-wide risk/security initiatives
  • Experience conducting or supporting counterintelligence or insider threat related investigations
  • Experience in effectively understanding, analyzing, and communicating complex risks, with program management experience preferred
  • Ability to handle a high level of pressure associated with complex projects in a demanding customer environment and communicating those projects to senior levels
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with a focus on attention to detail. Strong negotiation and influence skills with all levels of organization as well as the ability to influence people who do not report to you in order to achieve results
  • Ability to leverage multiple data sets and tools to support complex analysis 
  • Ability to create and deliver effective and compelling presentations using PowerPoint
  • Minimum of an Undergraduate degree, preferably a master’s degree related to Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Political Science or related field
