As a Commercial Product Associate in Embedded Lending, you play a crucial role in supporting the product development process and contributing to the discovery of innovative solutions that address customer needs. Working closely with the product management team and cross-functional partners, you contribute your skills and insights to help ensure the success of our product offerings. Job responsibilities
Supports the development of our product strategy and roadmap
Collects and analyzes metrics on product performance to inform decision-making
Contributes to solution discovery through collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify potential solutions that address user needs and align with business goals
Participates in product planning sessions, contributes ideas and insights, and assists in the execution of product initiatives, ensuring timely and successful product launches
Collaborates with the product manager to engage stakeholders and define user workflows, requirements, stories, and customer value
Supports GM & Product Director for Embedded Lending to manage P&L for SMB merchant lending business, including yield optimization for loan portfolio and expansion and risk mitigation initiatives to ensure a healthy portfolio.
Partner with Risk, Finance & Analytics teams to create dashboards and monitor key metrics for a sustainable portfolio.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
2 years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, project management, or a relevant domain area
Developing knowledge level of the product development life cycle
Exposure to product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
Emerging knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
Fluency in credit & lending metrics, P&L drivers and balance sheet optimization
Financial modelling skills to evaluate growth opportunities and scenarios impacting a lending P&L
Experience in end-to-end analytics for a business--including marketing analytics, finance analytics, web analytics, & product analytics, etc.—to give visibility into all business KPIs.
Experience with coding platforms such as SQL, Python, SAS, R - for data extraction, developing models, forecasting, building decisions trees, different kinds of testing, statistical analysis, etc.,
Experience in MS Excel and other analytical tools to leverage data and transform the extracted data points into trends and meaningful insights through which business actions can be taken.
Experience in Visualization tools such as Qlikview, Tableau, etc., to be able to automate and visualize the insights.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
MBA and/or CFA (completed or partial) desired
Ability to code, cleanse, transform and extract data from structured and unstructured databases into data marts through which analysis can be conducted and models can be built.
