Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries is looking for an experienced individual to join its Finance and Business Management organization as a Business Management Associate, supporting two high-performing businesses within Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries: Government and Healthcare, Higher Ed and Not-for-Profit. Business Management optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.

As the Business Management Associate on the Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries team, you will be a key partner to the business management team and senior leaders in the Government, Healthcare, Higher Ed., and Not for-Profit organization. You will bring a strong understanding of sales and financial operations and an ability to drive strategic dialogue across the organization, inform decision-making, proactively solve problems, and provide analytical insight and business judgment in support of strategic and tactical initiatives.

Job responsibilities:

• Supports Business Management team and the Government, Healthcare, Higher Ed, and Not-for- Profit business on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects
• Leverages operational experience, data and analytical insights to define overall performance objectives and assist with the development and execution of business and financial plans
• Collaborates across finance and business management and other functional areas to understand and communicate results, execute strategic initiatives, and monitor outcomes
• Executes portfolio management, segmentation, planning and growth efforts using Customer Relationship Management and other sales enablement tools and processes
• Works closely with the financial planning and analytics function to assess business performance, define drivers of outcomes, document areas of opportunity, and execution plans to drive change
• Identifies areas for continued process improvement and efficiency by generating innovative ideas and solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• 2 years of relevant work experience in strategy, financial planning, business management, or sales operations
• Strong business management and/or project management experienced
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work with a high degree of independence
• Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to execute strategic agenda
• Demonstrated acumen and comfort assessing financial performance and navigating large data sets to extract actionable insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
• BA / BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
