Job Overview:

Josie's Ristorante, a renowned Italian restaurant known for its exceptional cuisine and warm hospitality, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, managing a dynamic team, and ensuring the overall success of the front-of-house operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, cashiers, etc. 
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and ensure a cohesive working environment.
  • Provide ongoing training to enhance staff performance and maintain high service standards.
  • Develop and implement customer service policies to ensure a positive dining experience for guests and make changes as needed.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Work closely with staff to resolve any customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the dining room and overall floor operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Monitor reservations, seating arrangements, and table turnover to optimize capacity and enhance customer experience.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food to guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Monitor the quality of food and service, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to address any concerns related to food quality or presentation.
  • Oversee inventory of front-of-house supplies, including linens, glassware, and utensils.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary supplies.
  • Manage and optimize resources to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and private parties. 
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and prepare for marketing events.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events, including staffing, setup, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets for front-of-house operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators and provide insights for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality management/leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
