Basic Function

This position will handle a wide variety of personnel related administrative duties, as well as operate our front desk as the working receptionist. This role will assist with a variety of projects for Johnson Screens locally and globally, including BOD support. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and has exceptional communication, writing and editing skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support on various projects and deadlines for the HR Department.
  • Support the Johnson Screens Board of Directors, the CEO and officers. Lead projects as directed by BOD.
  • Greet customers, vendors, etc. at the front desk and on the phone. Direct them to the correct department. Be a gatekeeper as necessary.
  • Maintain professional looking front desk area. Keep refreshments stocked for guests.
  • Coordinate employee engagement programs i.e. WOW card program, bi-annual engagement surveys, leading the Sunshine Committee, coordinating anniversary gifts, and corporate communications.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new employees including background checks, medical appointments, and first day activities.
  • Maintain local and global organizational charts. 
  • Coordinate meals/snacks for events and meetings as needed. 
  • Plan, calendarize and organize global team meetings for various departments, to include training, annual meetings and hosting of global customers and vendors.
  • Update information in ADP as necessary i.e. address changes, personal information, uploading documents.
  • Process daily incoming mail as well as coordinate outgoing mailings.
  • Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position. 
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Required Skills

  • 2 year Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent 
  • 2 years’ experience in Human Resources or as an Executive Assistant
  • Demonstrate expert skills with computers as well as latest versions of Microsoft of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication. Ability to communicate with a high level of cultural fluency and to engage diverse work groups, committees, and a wide range of global company employees, vendors and partners
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to details are required. The ability to multi-task various assignments, prioritize work, and adjust to multiple demands.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple company leaders as needed, and to prioritize accordingly
  • Comfort working under pressure and tight deadlines
