**Looking in the North Carolina or Virginia Area**
Basic Function

Airvac is the global leader in the Vacuum Technology System industry. The primary function of our Regional Service Technician II is to provide vacuum system installation, operation and maintenance and repair services for assigned vacuum sewer systems within or outside of a specific region or assigned Customer(s). Travel up to 70% of the time based on customer needs, including international travel, may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides field service during vacuum system installations.
  • Rebuilds, repairs, and performs maintenance on vacuum collection system components.
  • Accurately tests and inspects components to ensure proper operation of units.
  • Communicates and interacts with department staff, municipal personnel, homeowners, contractors, customers, engineers, and others.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and conducts repairs on systems.
  • Performs system evaluations/efficiency testing and provides recommendations based on results.
  • Works closely with customers, sales, engineering, and management regarding system rehabs, upgrades, and expansion opportunities.
  • Accurately documents detail-specific service in CRM software.
  • Mentors and trains lower level Regional Service Technicians.
  • Performs various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in field service, underground construction, or related field. Electrical experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a team in a collaborative environment as well as individually.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, assembly orders. and mechanical drawings.
  • Software proficiency to include Windows and Microsoft Office. Salesforce experience preferred.

Required PPE

Steel-toed/Composite-toed shoes, hard hat, safety vest, etc. will be provided as needed.

☐Medium Work Exerting 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

☒Heavy Work Exerting 51 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 26 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 11 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

☐Very Heavy Work Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
