Position summary: Applies standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities during and after construction and installation, upgrades, retrofits and quality assurance of proper methods and procedures for electrical components general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and local and national codes.
Currently we have an opportunity for an Electrical Field Services Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will work on various projects for municipal, industrial, federal and private sector clients. The Candidate would coordinate daily field activities with our construction management team, the client's inspection and engineering department as appropriate, other consulting firms, and contractors, for construction installations of facilities serving the water and waste water industry in the southeast region of Virginia. Construction will include low and medium voltage plant power distribution systems, motor control centers, VFD's and Soft Starts, motors, PLC's, instrumentation, and other related equipment for plant power and control systems. Project work will include working with design engineers and contractors for layout and selection of equipment based on specifications, field investigations, field engineering support during construction, inspections for compliance of National Electrical Code (NEC) and client specifications, equipment testing and commissioning, and develop project redline as-build conditions. The successful candidate will be working to help provide inspections for new facilities, expansions, upgrades, and retrofits.

Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
