Description
Position Overview:
This position provides comprehensive administrative support of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Intern will work under the supervision of the VP of Human Resources and will gain hands on experience in all aspects of Human Resources.
Job Responsibilities:
· Maintains accurate and organized employee information records.
· Scans documents into employee and company electronic files.
· May assist with the administrative duties of the recruitment process; job postings, scheduling interviews, coordinating travel, maintaining applicant records
· Assists with administrative duties of hiring process.
· Maintains inventory of the company library and company store.
· Assists in the planning and execution of all employee events.
· Performs customer service by answering employee questions and requests.
· Assist with projects as needed.
Education and Work Experience:
· Full time college student (junior or senior) in good academic standing
· Enrolled in Business or Human Resources curriculum preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
· Desire to grow and develop within the Human Resources field
· High level of computer literacy
· Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
· Ability to type accurately and quickly
· Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
· Integrity
· Adaptability
· Organizing and planning
· Problem analysis and problem solving
· Critical thinking skills
Typical Physical Demands:
· Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting-up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
