Johnson Hospitality Services Associates is Hiring a Maintenance Supervisor Near Sacramento, CA

Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the supervision of the Maintenance Department operations, personnel, and outside maintenance contractors. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Hire, train, counsel and motivate department personnel
  2. Conduct all department personnel performance appraisals
  3. Order supplies, process accounts payable and monitor the department budget
  4. Schedule personnel within budget guidelines to assure adequate staffing
  5. Inspect guest rooms after preventative maintenance. Review any problems and recheck guestroom before releasing to housekeeping/front office
  6. Maintain the hotel grounds and building exteriors on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis
  7. Develop and maintain maintenance department programs to assure that the Quality Assurance Program criteria are met
  8. Ensure routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, boilers and plumbing are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications
  9. Ensure swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to manufacturer specifications and local health department regulations 
  10. Develop department employee attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of guest needs
  11. Use the L.E.A.R.N Model for all guest recovery incidents that occur
  12. Always have a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with our guests 
  13. Notify Supervisor, Operations Manager, AGM or General Manager of any problems with cleaning or equipment. 
  14. Complete maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisor/manager or in a timely manner
  15. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests
  16. Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints concerning the Maintenance department
  17. Responsible for knowing all hotel emergency procedures
  18. Follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
  19. Responsible for educating department personnel on all emergency procedures and safety guidelines and requirements
  20. Maintain key control files and logs
  21. Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys
  22. Responsible for the proper administration of keys left by guests
  23. Establish department communication and information system through logs, department meetings, and coaching and counseling
  24. Maintain a work order assignment board and track completed/pending work orders. Follow up on all incomplete work orders to inform the requesting guest or department of the status of their work order
  25. Communicate changes in guest room status to the front desk
  26. Bring all lost and found items to the supervisor’s or manager’s office for logging and storage
  27. Accommodate guest special requests courteously.
  28. Answer guest questions regarding hotel and local area facilities and services.
  29. Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing.
