Description

BASIC PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY: The Creative Associate position is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of worship for Kids Church. Additionally, provide leadership and input for additional Children’s Ministry goals and objectives including VBS, salvation classes, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • To provide a spiritual worship experience for children on their developmental level.
    • Prepare curriculum and enhance it to teach truth about Jesus. Provide weekly scripts, lessons, and directions for Sunday worship and oversee rehearsals.
    • Supervise the Administrator of the registration team, Parent Coordinator and Ambassador Director for Children’s Worship.
    • Enlist, train, and lead volunteers of Children’s Worship.
    • Coordinate, recruit and develop Kids Church 4th grade Ambassador program and leadership opportunities.
    • Provide a weekly production sheet via Planning Center for the creative and tech teams.
    • Supervise the part-time media employee and give direction to media needs associated with the curriculum.
    • Provide media graphics and have a working relationship with JFBC Media Department.
    • Maintain the Children’s Worship Center and request repair work as needed.
    • Purchase and gather set, costumes and props for all programs involving worship.
    • Maintain and set Children’s Worship budgets.
  • Collaborate with Preschool Ministry to select and implement Preschool Worship curriculum.
  • Create, write and direct special worship programs for VBS, 1st grade Bible Presentation and any children’s related large group events.
  • Participate in Gospel presentations and Baptism counseling with children along with their parents.
  • Work with Children’s Ministry staff on various activities and planning, including 4th grade opportunities and 5th grade retreats.
  • Create content for parent/child salvation seeker classes and other parent discipleship programs.
  • Write newsletter updates for parents to know what their children are learning in Kids Church.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in all regular ministry staff meetings, monthly church staff meetings, staff retreats, training, etc.
  • Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Seminary experience a plus.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in production and/or programming desired.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Ability to lift up and carry 50 or more pounds.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Physically able to work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
