Description

BASIC PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for developing a relational, Christ-centered ministry with female students focused on equipping both students and servant leaders to be both discipled and disciple makers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop a disciple making ministry with high school and middle school girls, with a priority focus on high school.
  • Plan and administer high school girls annual retreat.
  • Take the girls ministry lead on spring break Dominican Republic Mission Trip.
  • Lead and manage the Girls Ministry Residents, and Girls Ministry summer Interns.
  • Assist in recruiting female adults and students to serve in leadership positions.
  • Meet with female small group leaders on a regular basis to encourage and care for their ministry.
  • Create a framework and curriculum for equipping the female leadership team.
  • Disciple 1-2 small groups of female students throughout the year and encourage disciple making multiplication among girls in 419 groups.
  • Spiritual counseling with female students and parents as needed.
  • Have a consistent presence on school campuses in East Cobb.
  • Attend activities and events for the Student Ministry as assigned.
  • Integrate the Girls Ministry into the overall Student Ministry plan.
  • Teach in settings involving large and small groups in middle and high school as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in all regular ministry staff meetings, monthly church staff meetings, staff retreats, training, etc.
  • Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.

    • Able to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
    • Handles all sensitive information with the greatest possible confidentiality and care.
    • Works flexibly with a variety of personalities.
    • High attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Seminary experience a plus.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working with middle or high school students preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Ability to lift up and carry 50 or more pounds.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Physically able to work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
