Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center stands as a distinguished institution, encompassing a 420-bed teaching hospital, a dedicated trauma center, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a renowned geriatrics center. Our Rehabilitation Unit is a Med/Surg unit that specializes in rehabilitation. Our LPNs care for our patients who are recovering from illnesses to regain their independence. In this unit we treat a variety of chronic medical diagnoses.

Part of the Rehab unit may include patients on ventilators and patients who have chronic illnesses. The Ventilator Unit is designed to decrease or eliminate the need for mechanical ventilation for medically stable but complex patients requiring prolonged mechanical ventilator support and frequent physician interventions.

The Licensed Practical Nurses will be part of the amazing interdisciplinary team to coordinate care of their assigned patients.

Qualifications and Education:

• RN license in Maryland or compact state
• CPR (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• BSN obtain in 4 years
• Previous experience as a patient care tech or student nurse tech is helpful
