Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - Corrections

This corrections opportunity is perfect for LPNs to deliver the highest quality of care, with the support of a motivated team of caregivers working in a correctional facility, supporting an inmate treatement program. This job requires previous correctional facility experience.

Job Summary:

Delivers quality care that is consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. Responsible for tasks, activities and functions as delegated and may make assignment of duties to others as defined in their state of practice act. Ensure that tasks, activities and functions assigned to others can safely be performed by the person receiving the assignment based on their educational preparation. Provides monitoring of tasks, activities and functions that are assigned to others to ensure proper understanding and completion. Monitors onsite and offsite scheduling, follow up on patient care from offsite appointments along with telemedicine.

PAY:

$1,600 Weekly Gross

$40/Hourly

40 hours/Week OR part time hours also available

4. Provide care under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician

6. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and communication with inmates
7. Advocate for the health and well-being of inmates, ensuring that their healthcare needs are addressed appropriately

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LPN LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:

1. Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
2. Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment - Maryland
3. Possesses an active CPR certification.
4. Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
5. Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.
