Our Client is a renowned R&D institution. Join a team that evaluates threats to U.S. use of space for military, intelligence, civil and commercial purposes. Applied research and development projects underway span a wide range of advanced applications, ranging from ground-based precision optical systems performing observations of space to space-based payloads and small satellites consisting of novel sensors developed to meet our country’s most urgent needs in space. Group 95 is in need of software developers to create software that will be used to operate and test a critical space payload under development now. The Software Developer will work closely with a small team developing a system test infrastructure for testing a complex satellite payload currently being built. The candidate will develop COSMOS scripts to test integrated embedded systems, perform system trades on possible implementations, execute the software design, test the software, and support operation of the test infrastructure during testing of the satellite payload. Candidate must have a strong desire to perform all aspects of software development delivering small- to mid-scale stand-alone programs across a broad range of applications. They must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision. Candidates must also be motivated self-starters, able to work individually, or within a group to achieve program goals and objectives, under the direction of MIT LL’s technical project manager. Problem solving ability is critical. Activities will include programming, data reduction and analysis, data presentation in graphic form, etc. Required Skills/Experience:
- COSMOS Script development.
- Embedded system experience. Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Python.
- Bash. Clearance: Top Secret Clearance is required. This individual is required to be fully Onsite.
