Buyer/Planner – Supply Chain

Primary Purpose of this Job

The primary purpose of this job is to function as a liaison between the company’s Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving departments. It is a focal point among all departments to effectively communicate and help meet project requirements through a careful review of capacity and scheduling of jobs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Purchase products for demand and stock from assigned suppliers
• Plan and Pipeline inventory for low to medium complex products
• Proactively expedite backlog
• Identify and update changes to the supplier open order reports
• Performs basic purchase order add and maintenance functions
• Perform stock rotations as defined in the supplier authorization agreements

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 year degree in business operations management or related technical field (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills both orally and written
• The ability to work in a team-based environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• The ability to manage large amounts of transactions on a daily basis
• Detail oriented, collaborative, highly organized with ability to multi-task

Ability to:

• Communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
• Adapt to changing work environment, competing demands, able to deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
• Communicate and work with all levels of staff in various departments

OTHER NOTES:

Candidates should have experience in planning and purchasing in machine shop setting. Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check and drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
