Engineering Service Technician

It is a Test Technician role combined with a Technical Writer role.

Searching for a candidate who has technical ability to diagnose and repair service repairs coming back in building from customers, but also has the ability to document/update procedures and manuals. Some weeks the repairs could be @ 30 hours and some weeks only 10 hours, with the other time focused on documentation.

The Engineering Service Technician takes product returns from customers and performs evaluations on electromechanical systems and subsystems to determine functionality and basic root cause of failure. The role is also responsible for organizing these returns, prioritizing, and facilitating communications between service and customers.

In addition, this role will write/update procedures, manuals and other documentation for the service team, therefore will require experience in technical writing.

• Organized and able to juggle multiple returns simultaneously.

• Required Education And Experiences
• Associates degree (AS) in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience writing documents, procedures/manuals
• Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.

Candidates should have a degree in electronics. It is a hands-on position where they will diagnose and service the systems but they will also have a documentation/procedure writing portion. This is an onsite position and no travel to client sites are required.
