POSITION SUMMARY: The Account Executive – Wholesale oversees our established cannabis wholesale program and contributes to our rapid growth within one of the fastest expanding industries. This role entails driving new sales, meeting revenue targets, and managing accounts through acquisition, account management, and sales reporting within their designated region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees all sales efforts for wholesale accounts across the state to achieve monthly and annual revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Collaborates with the local market team to devise state-specific strategies.
  • Conducts sales calls and implements selling efforts for wholesale accounts.
  • Cultivates new accounts and nurtures key customer relationships.
  • Develops pipelines, targets, and innovative strategies to boost sales opportunities in the market.
  • Organizes promotional events, updates sales menus and product availability databases, and processes customer orders.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to create promotional plans, campaigns, and educational initiatives to attract and retain customers.
  • Prepares and presents sales reports to track leads and executes follow-up.
  • Ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained through sales tools, effective communication, and store visits.
  • Stays updated on industry, customer, and competitive product landscape.
  • Maintains regular communication with customers to understand their needs.
  • Builds a strong foundation of industry expertise.
  • Attends cannabis industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, and other professional events to stay current on industry trends and engage with potential and existing customers.
  • Travel Requirements: Seeking a road warrior to cover assigned territories with occasional overnight stays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional sales experience, with at least 1 year in a B2B sales channel within the cannabis industry.
  • Strong understanding of cannabis industry dynamics, laws, regulations, and ability to stay updated on changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated results orientation, drive, attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record in driving revenue, achieving growth, and building customer relationships.
  • Experience exceeding sales quotas.
  • Knowledge of cannabis industry, regulations, market trends, and competition highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing trends and priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Proficiency in software such as Hoodie, Leaflink, Leaftrade, Microsoft Office Suite.
