Job Details
In your day to day, you will oversee the rapidly-growing DC office of a new mission-driven global agency with a disruptive offer focused on climate change and environmental solutions.
Responsibilities...
Overseeing DC office’s delivery of retained and project-based accounts covering research, strategy, branding and creative, messaging, content, media relations, social media campaigns, stakeholder relations, and crisis management in the US and internationally.
Delivering senior level counsel to business executives, corporate sustainability leaders and communications directors, and processing their changing needs.
Directing the training and development of team’s subject matter expertise and communications skills.
Hiring and developing junior and senior talent.
Co-ordinating with the London office to ensure consistent delivery of global services.
Managing the efficient delivery of services across the US team.
Supporting new business development in the Americas: network engagement, proposals, pricing, pitches, and negotiation of contracts.
Supporting development of US marketing materials.
Contributing to agency knowledge management systems.
Qualifications...
10 years’ experience in corporate communications and/or strategic communications.
5 years’ management experience at a major communications agency.
5 years’ promoting and defending environmental products, services or initiatives e.g. clean energy or transport, circular economy, sustainable finance, low-carbon manufacturing, sustainable land management, etc.
An inspiring leader, prepared to take responsibility for a small but growing D.C. office.
Strong organizational and project management skills essential.
Outstanding written and verbal communications in English.
International experience.
