Position Overview: The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of the organization, as well as ensuring compliance, accuracy, and the efficient management of financial resources. The ideal candidate is a finance professional with extensive experience in financial management, accounting, and tax compliance, coupled with strong leadership and strategic planning abilities. Responsibilities:Develop and implement the necessary financial policies, processes, internal controls, and systems to ensure accurate financial reporting; compliance with legal, regulatory, tax, and organizational requirements; and safeguarding the organization’s financial assets. Partner cross-functionally to understand the business transactions and ensure that transactional activity is recorded in compliance with GAAP and IRS requirements.Oversee and manage the full cycle accounting calendar, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close accuracy and deadlines.Identify, assess, and manage financial risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies as needed.Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage banking activities. Lead a team of about 15 involved in all areas of accounting: cash, investments, accounts payable, revenue, receivables, payroll, fixed assets, reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax filings.Coordinate and manage external audits. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience commensurate with the role; CPA required.10–12 years of relevant experience in financial management, with significant experience in accounting and tax compliance. Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of effectively leading and developing teams. Strong knowledge of GAAP, not-for-profit tax compliance, and financial reporting standards. Experience with financial software and systems, including ERP systems and financial modeling tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
