Job Details
We are looking for a senior software engineer with server-side and frontend development experience to work on our core TMS services.
The Senior Software Engineer (SSE) is an integral part of what makes the development team successful. We like to believe that every engineer is an architect. The SSE contributes at all levels of the SDLC. This begins early in the design of the product all the way through deployment of the final artifact. The SSE delivers ongoing business impact across a team, product capability or technical system. You will play a role in ensuring the quality of your team's technical work, both code and software designs. You are responsible for designing the software or systems required in your area of ownership and ensuring that they meet their design objectives. Your understanding of business context and purpose will enable you to make technical decisions aligned with longer term needs, not just immediate requirements.
What You'll Do
Participate in all aspects of software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
Participate in the code review process and provide input where needed.
Mentor more junior developers and provide guidance.
Work with business stakeholders to identify software solutions to business challenges.
Scope tasks at a high level and provide estimates.
Qualifications
Five years of experience in a OOP server-side language like Java/Kotlin/C#/Go (we use Java)
Five years of experience with a front-end framework like React/Vue/Angular/etc (we use Vue3)
Five years of experience with relational databases (we use PostgreSQL)
Knowledge of design patterns/architectures
Ability to scope tasks at a high level and provide estimates
Ways to impress us
Familiarity with cloud tech like s3, Google Cloud Platform, docker, Kubernetes, cumulonimbus
Knowledge of TMS, OMS or WMS systems
Knowledge of ANSI X12 EDI transaction sets
Experience developing a SaaS product
Experience developing a multi-tenant application
Under the Hood
Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes
Backend: Java (Spring Boot), PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ
