We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Payroll Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This position that offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in our fast-paced, high tech industry. As a Senior Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of payroll accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all processes. This role also involves working closely with other departments, providing financial information, analysis, and support when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and general ledger (GL) entries related to payroll.
• Utilize Trinet and Netsuite software for payroll processing and accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Prepare and submit reports on payroll activities, liabilities, taxes, and expenses.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any payroll issues that arise.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure correct employee data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies.
• Participate in financial audits related to payroll and respond to any audit findings.
• Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.

Job Details
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll accounting role, preferably in the high tech industry.
• Proficient in payroll software, specifically Trinet and Netsuite.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
• High degree of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
