We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing industry and possess a deep understanding of blown film production. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead and manage our production operations, ensuring that we meet our high standards of quality and productivity.
Responsibilities:
As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of the blown film production process, from planning and scheduling to execution and quality control.
2. Implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
3. Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
4. Ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of all extrusion equipment, including extruders and other related machinery.
5. Enforcing strict adherence to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
6. Training, coaching, and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance.
7. Utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate production defects and process variations.
8. Managing and leading cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of production goals.
9. Conducting performance appraisals, providing feedback, and implementing disciplinary actions as necessary.
10. Implementing process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in managing blown film production processes, including expertise in polyethylene and extrusion techniques.
3. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with excellent team leadership and staff training skills.
5. Proficiency in performance management and employee development.
6. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.
7. Proven track record in implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
10. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
