We are on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact and contribute to our firm's reputation for excellence. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex litigation cases, including personal injury defense and insurance defense. You will be tasked with representing our clients in court, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice. You will also be responsible for handling depositions, jury trials, and other aspects of civil litigation.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
2. Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
3. Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during the course of a trial.
4. Study and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
5. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
6. Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
7. Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
8. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
9. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
10. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation attorney.
4. Proven background in personal injury defense, insurance defense, and civil litigation.
5. Substantial experience in handling depositions and jury trials.
6. Excellent legal writing skills and proficiency in drafting legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
7. Comprehensive knowledge of court procedures and rules.
8. Demonstrated expertise in trial practice.
9. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
11. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
12. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
