St. Louis Housing Authority is Hiring a Staff Attorney Near St. Louis, MO
POSITION SUMMARY
This is an exempt position requiring legal and administrative work of considerable difficulty, pertaining to all legal matters involving the Authority. Such matters may include litigation, compliance with HUD rules and regulations as well as other federal, state and local laws, landlord and tenant issues, risk management, real estate transactions, contracts and procurement, and employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri.
- Two years experience in litigation, transactions, real estate or employment law.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws impacting federally assisted housing.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills, and ability to execute a written analysis of facts and applicable law and policies.
- Ability to maintain confidential information, work independently, and meet deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction and supervision of the General Counsel, the Staff Attorney will provide legal support to the Authority's divisions, including:
SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $91,433
