Due to growth, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting activities. This includes leading the accounting team, working with senior management to create and implement initiatives to drive efficiencies across our organization, and helping to grow the bottom line.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
As the Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
3. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
4. Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
5. Coordinating activities of external auditors.
6. Managing the budget process.
7. Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
8. Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
9. Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
10. Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
11. Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
12. Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with an ERP system is required.
4. Must have experience in preparing financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex accounting projects.
7. Ability to direct and supervise.
