Customer Service Representative – Baltimore

Jobe Industrial Control & Measurement, a leading regional distributor of industrial and HVAC instruments and control products, is seeking the right person for our full-time Customer Service Representative position. We are a growing small business with a history stretching back more than 65 years. We are an energetic, thoughtful and experienced team who take pride in the excellent service we offer our customers across a variety of markets, including pharmaceuticals, water treatment, HVAC, manufacturing, and food processing.

In the Customer Service role, you will work in collaboration with our outside sales team to quote solutions, answer inquiries and execute orders for HVAC and industrial applications. The role requires a thoughtful person with problem solving skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn. Experienced or not, we are excited to get the right person on our team and start them on the path to a rewarding career.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Phone and email communications with customers
• Develop and enter quotes and orders
• Follow up on outstanding quotes and opportunities
• Build and manage relationships with customers

To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will be:

• Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
• Experience taking and entering orders and quotes
• Able to multi-task and prioritize. Organized.
• Natural communicator – both written and oral.
• Enjoys working in a small business environment
• Willing to go the ‘extra-mile’ when the situation requires it
• Generally curious and willing to learn (we sell some pretty cool products)
• Wants to come to an office everyday – remote work is not an option

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
