Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Medical Assistant, your primary duties will include :

1. Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, acting as the patient advocate and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.

2. Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician.

3. Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens or performing basic laboratory tests on the premises, disposing of contaminated supplies, and sterilizing medical instruments.

4. Explaining treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.

5. Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.

6. Greeting patients and preparing them for examinations or treatments.

7. Recording patient history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.

8. Scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

9. Cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to patient appointments.

10. Working in a cooperative manner with team members to deliver high-quality healthcare.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Medical Assistant role will possess the following qualifications :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

2. Certification from an accredited Medical Assisting Program.

3. Work Experience in OBGYN, Women's Health or IVF / Fertility required.

4. Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, and office procedures.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients, colleagues, and medical staff.

6. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

8. Strong ethical and moral character references.

9. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

10. Knowledge of healthcare and medical procedures, including basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology.
