In the Design Manager role, you will assist the Director of Automation in overseeing daily operations of the Design group to ensure departmental goals and initiatives for the group are met.
You will create standards, oversee department workload, workload prioritization, and scheduling. You will also participate in the hiring and performance management processes, and coordination of training and professional development opportunities for the Design team.
There is the opportunity to develop client relationships and create new business opportunities. In addition to possessing a technical understanding of the project work performed within the department, you should also have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees and clients.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required for this position, in addition to 5 years in a leadership role, personnel management, and project management.
