JJ's host makes sure that guests feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. They create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons from the moment they enter the establishment. JJ's is a staple restuarant in Kansas City. Some of our guests have been coming into the restaurant for over 20 years! Hosts must be personable, attention getters, driven work ethic, professional, and work smart under pressure.

JJ's host responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Engage in friendly conversation with new guests and regulars
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for servers
• Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
• Take down credit card information for large parties
• Manage restaurant waiting list during peak business times
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
• Validate garage parking as guests leave
• Clean and prepare Lunch, Dinner, and Happy Hour menus
• Take To-Go phone orders

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
